Who is Thessalonica Allen? Indiana woman jailed for killing husband, asking teen children to help dispose dismembered body
LA PORTE, INDIANA: Thessalonica Allen had a disturbing and deadly plan to kill her husband, Randy, which she meticulously outlined in a handwritten list discovered by detectives in her apartment. The list included gruesome intentions like spraying feces in his face, hitting his right knee with a hammer, and stabbing him, culminating in rolling up his body in sheets and plastic bags. Tragically, the 36-year-old followed through on her sinister plans, shooting Randy Allen to death and then dismembering his body using an ax.
Shockingly, she involved her own children in the horrifying aftermath, coercing them to help dispose of the remains. As a result of these heinous actions, Thessalonica Allen faced trial in court. The jury found her guilty on eight counts, including murder, abuse of a corpse, neglect of a dependent, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The swift verdict was reached in just 30 minutes.
Randy suspected Thessalonica’s infidelity
The tragic incident unfolded when Randy Allen was assisting the couple's two teenage children with their homework on July 27, 2021. He discovered a website that he believed his wife had visited, leading to a confrontation about her suspected infidelity. The argument escalated, culminating in a loud bang from their bedroom, according to the accounts provided by the children to the authorities.
The autopsy findings revealed the tragic details of Randy Allen's death caused by Thessalonica's violent actions. The bullet she fired entered his arm and then penetrated the right side of his body, ultimately ricocheting into his spinal cord. As a result, he became paralyzed and was unable to move, leading to severe bleeding that proved fatal.
In the aftermath of the shooting, Thessalonica shockingly instructed her terrified teenagers to ignore their dying father as he lay on the floor. She then callously concealed his body by stuffing it into her daughter's closet.
She disturbingly took help from her children
The following day, Thessalonica realized that Randy Allen's body would not fit in a plastic bin, prompting her to use an ax to cut off his legs. Disturbingly, she involved her children in this horrifying act, asking for their help.
According to the children's accounts given to the investigators, their mother acquired cleaning supplies and the ax before proceeding to dismember Randy Allen's corpse. They were then coerced into assisting her in placing the dismembered body parts into a tote bag, which proved to be too heavy for them to move.
In her deranged state, Thessalonica supposedly planned to load Randy Allen's body into his car and drive it to a location in South Bend, where she intended to set it on fire. However, the weight of the dismembered remains proved to be an insurmountable obstacle for the three of them.
