Who is Tatyana Remley's brother? Glamorous equestrian was allegedly molested by sibling as a child
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tatyana Remley, an equestrian who made news for reportedly placing a $2M hit on her ex-husband, was allegedly sexually assaulted by her brother, Vladimir, when she was 13 or 15.
Vladimir allegedly was "so damaged by drugs" and "hated" Remley, her mother, Vera, claimed.
People who are close to Remley, 42, mentioned her tragic background as a possible explanation for her desire to kill her husband of 12 years, Mark.
Where was Tatyana Remley born?
According to Remley's first husband, Ken Woolcott, whom she wed in 2005, she was born in Arizona but raised in remote Bend, Oregon, where she only went to school until the fourth grade.
According to court records obtained by The New York Post, Vera and Brian did not enroll their daughter in school when they opted to relocate to Valley Center, a small community in northern San Diego County.
Vera stated in a deposition in 2009, "My husband... wanted to do home school, whatever, once we came to California. We had a lot of difficulties with [Brian]."
"If I could go back, I would undo everything, and see to it that she be in school … I’m very sorry, because I believe in school," she added.
Tatyana Remley was allegedly raped by her brother
Vera testified on behalf of her daughter, who was engaged in a custody dispute with Woolcott over their small son, at that time.
Vera revealed a number of shocking allegations, one of which was the allegation that her older son, Vladimir, had molested Tatyana when she was a young girl.
When Tatyana notified her mother about the sexual abuse, she was either 13 or 15 years old.
Vera reportedly said. "I was shocked and I really didn’t want to have much of anything to do with my son after that. Before that I was suspicious because, I don’t know. He wasn’t doing good."
"He is so damaged by the drugs. … He talks funny and he hated my daughter," she continued.
She added, "When she was born, he hated her extremely, always trying to make some kind of way to make her cry or hurt or something. Hated her, because he felt like she took him … she took me away from him."
Tatyana Remley lacked parenting skills because of bad upbringing
Woolcott, who at the time was a part-owner of the NBA franchise Seattle SuperSonics, said Remley lacked fundamental parenting abilities as a result of her childhood, the alleged trauma she endured as a child and her parents' religious views.
"Tatyana was kept isolated/captive on rural property in Valley Center, without school, social activities and interaction with her community," Woolcott explained.
"Moreover, I now understand that [one] of their religious tenets is the rejection of traditional medicine and medical care professionals," he continued.
Additionally, she was prohibited from seeing any of her childhood friends because her parents feared that if she did, her imprisonment would be discovered.
"Essentially, Tatyana was captive for about 10 years (9 – 20 years old) with little, if any, contact with the outside world, education, social interaction or structure," Woolcott said.
