GREENEVILLE, TENNESSEE: Sean Williams, a Tennessee man and former owner of Glass and Concrete Contracting LLC in Johnson City, who is accused of raping dozens of women and children, has escaped from custody for the second time.

Williams was being transported from a Kentucky jail to Tennessee on Tuesday, October 17, when he allegedly kicked open the rear window of a vehicle and ran away.

Police say Sean Williams was wearing a prison uniform when he escaped

He was wearing a prison uniform and may have shaved off his head, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

"During travel it appears that the inmate was able to utilize a component of the van's headrest to free himself from his hand restraints," Laurel County jailer Jamie Mosley said in a Facebook post.

"He then to pry the protective screening and force the side window out of the rear of the transport vehicle," Mosley added.

"He then exited the vehicle through the window area, he was spotted moments later covered with blood in the Davis Street area of Greenville, TN," Mosley continued.

According to Mosley, a manhunt for the desperate and dangerous fugitive is underway.

Sean Williams is facing multiple charges of aggravated sexual assault and rape

Williams is facing multiple charges of aggravated sexual assault and rape exploitation of a minor, child rape, sexual battery and being a felon in possession of ammunition, Fox News reported.

He also faces dozens of federal child sexual abuse charges. He could face life in prison, if convicted.

The US Marshal Service, the FBI, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and local law enforcement agencies are searching for Williams who is considered “desperate” and “dangerous.”

The TBI has offered a reward of $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.

Lawsuit against police department for ignoring complaints

Williams is also the subject of a federal lawsuit filed by 10 anonymous women who claim that he drugged and raped them at parties in his downtown apartment.

The lawsuit alleges that the Johnson City Police Department ignored their complaints and failed to investigate Williams.

The lawsuit, according to Fox News, also claims that former Assistant US Attorney Kateri Dahl was fired after she brought forth her concerns about Williams.

Evidence of 52 rapes cases found on electronic devices

According to Dahl’s civil lawsuit, Williams had been on the run for two years after she charged him with being a felon in possession of ammunition in 2021.

He was eventually caught by North Carolina police in April who found videos on his electronic devices that allegedly showed him raping 52 different women.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office has urged the public to be on the lookout for Williams and to call 911 if they see him or have any information about his whereabouts.

"The US Marshal Service, along with the FBI, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, are working closely with local law enforcement agencies in the area to continue ground-search efforts to determine if he's still on foot in the area and see what other leads we come up with," US Marshal David Jolley told Fox News.
