Who is Morgan Brown? Oklahoma girl, 9, suffers from fractured skull as concrete slab thrown off overpass smashes car's roof
CREEK COUNTY, OKLAHOMA: A horrifying incident occurred when a nine-year-old girl named Morgan Brown and her family became victims of a dangerous act of violence. Someone threw a slab of concrete off an overpass onto their car, causing significant damage and injuring Morgan.
The concrete piece smashed through the vehicle's roof, hitting Morgan on her forehead and resulting in a fractured skull. The impact left a few-millimeter-deep hole in the side of her head and caused a mild concussion. Fortunately, she received medical attention promptly, and after receiving stitches, she is now in stable condition.
‘Momma, I'm dying’
Immediately after the incident, Morgan expressed her fear, screaming, "momma, I'm dying." The incident occurred near Apache and Highway 75, and Morgan's father attempted to pursue the perpetrators, but they managed to escape, and the suspects are yet to be identified by the police. Morgan told Newson6, "I was laying there, and then I heard the crash, and then I don't remember it hitting my head. But I remember jumping up and sticking my fingers in the hole and then I started screaming, "momma, I'm dying."
Morgan's mother, Sabrina Brown, revealed that her daughter's previous injury to her leg was a twist of fate. Due to that injury, Morgan chose to sit in the back seat, which likely saved her life, as she might have been in the middle seat where the concrete came through if not for that prior incident.
Sabrina Brown, Morgan's mother, expressed the immense difficulty in contemplating how their lives could have been forever altered if their daughter had been killed by the rock thrown from the overpass. The incident has left the family deeply shaken and grateful that Morgan survived.
‘They'll be able to know that they almost killed a little girl’
Morgan's father, Jesse Brown, was quick to react and attempted to chase after the individuals responsible for this heinous act, but they managed to elude him. Despite the frustration, he is hopeful that the perpetrators will do the right thing and turn themselves in to face the consequences of their actions. At the very least, he implores them never to commit such a dangerous and harmful act again.
“They see it, and turn themselves in, or maybe some people know them, and turn them in, or at the very least, they'll be able to know that they almost killed a little girl. And just decide never to do that again”, he said.
It is a relief to hear that Morgan is feeling much better after the traumatic incident, and her injury has not dampened her spirits or enthusiasm for life. Despite the frightening experience, she continues to find joy in doing what she loves most, which is spending time with the animals on her family's farm.
