Who is Justin Rene Lewis? New Orleans rapper arrested for shooting pregnant girlfriend Raesha Heard to death
DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA: DeKalb County Police Department has said that they arrested New Orleans rapper Justin Rene Lewis, aka, Mad Muzik Cali on October 19, 2023, for the alleged murder of his pregnant girlfriend Raesha Heard.
According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Raesha was murdered on October 11, 2023, in her parents’ driveway on Kelley Chapel Road while she was taking groceries from her car’s trunk.
The rapper allegedly opened fire, hitting her multiple times, murdering the young mother in front of her eight-year-old son, who reportedly witnessed the shooting.
Several of her family members were inside the house when the shooting took place.
Who is Mad Muzik Cali?
According to his SoundCloud bio, Mad Muzik Cali, whose real name is Justin Rene Lewis, hails from New Orleans, Louisiana.
He reportedly began rapping at a young age and was inspired by the hip-hop group ‘Hot Boys’ who also emerged out of the New Orleans music scene.

The rapper has been trending for a while after he was arrested for allegedly murdering his pregnant girlfriend Raesha Heard.
Heard’s friends and family had told the police earlier how they knew who the suspect was and were frustrated by the fact that the perpetrator had been active on social media and had been taunting them even six days after the victim’s death.
Mad Muzik Cali's Instagram posts have been flooded with comments where people were demanding his arrest.
The rapper was allegedly on the run and had posted IG stories of him driving on the highway.
Justice for Raesha
Raesha Heard’s friends and family have co-operated with the police department of DeKalb County since her death.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested yesterday, but the police have refrained from commenting any further or releasing any information about Justin Rene Lewis or the nature of his arrest.
Raesha's best friends who have known her since the ninth grade say they will miss so much about her.
"Her smile. She was the life of the party. Always so sweet," one said.
"Words can't explain how bad it hurts. For them to have had to witness that, it is just unexplainable. It's so hard." said another.
