John Moore Jr: Virginia man arrested for kidnapping woman, threatening to 'slit her throat' after fight over McDonald’s
GRAFTON, VIRGINIA: John Moore Jr, a 30-year-old man from West Virginia, is facing charges of kidnapping and domestic battery.
He allegedly held a woman hostage in his home and threatened to kill her over a dispute involving McDonald’s food.
Why did John Moore Jr hold woman hostage over McDonald’s?
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by WBOY-TV, the incident occurred on Saturday, September 9, at the Garret Mills Apartment Complex in Grafton.
The Taylor County Sheriff’s Department received a text message from the victim who told them, “He’s [Moore] holding me hostage."
Deputies arrived at the scene and forced their way into the apartment before knocking on the door several times, however, there was no answer.
After getting in, they found the victim coming out of a room with Moore following her. The victim yelled for him to “get the f**k away from me,” as reported by WDTV.
What did John Moore Jr say to the victim?
The victim, as per court documents, told the police that she and the accused had an argument as Moore was “supposed to bring her back McDonald’s, but he didn’t because ‘she was being a selfish b**** and didn’t answer her phone.’”
The argument escalated into violence as Moore allegedly choked her, tore her shirt, and told her that he would starve her to death in the basement while he ate in front of her.
“I’m going to choke you to f*****g death and watch you lay there” and “I am going to put you in the basement and starve you to death while I eat in front of you," Moore said.

Moore also grabbed the victim by the neck and also ripped her shirt.
He also held a knife to her throat and said that he would slit it, according to the affidavit.
"I’m going to slit your f***ing throat’,” he yelled, as per the complaint. In the meantime, police arrived.
The victim’s name, age, and relationship to Moore have not been disclosed.
Moore is currently being held in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail without bond. He is charged with one count of kidnapping and one count of domestic battery.
