CRESSKILL, NEW JERSEY: Sotheby's realtor Irma Daniels, 48, was allegedly beaten to death by her stepson John Daniels Jr, 30.
Per New York Post, police said Irma was bludgeoned with a baseball bat at her $864,000 home in Cresskill, New Jersey on Wednesday, which subsequently led to her death.
The outlet also reported that the police found she died from blunt force trauma, further citing they were searching for her husband John Daniel Sr’s son, who fled the crime scene.

On August 15, Irma made a heartfelt post eulogizing her motherland on Facebook, where she wrote, “Going back to my roots. My beautiful motherland with breathtaking Caucasian Mountains, ancient culture, heartbreaking history and graceful and noble people. Proud of being #Circassian.”
In May, she also celebrated getting featured in the media. In March, Irma received the prestigious "Circle of Excellence" from the New Jersey Board of Realtors.
At the time, she wrote, "I finally did it... After 7 years in real estate industry I finally received this distinguished award "CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE" from NJ Board of Realtors for my accomplishments in real estate in 2022."
She continued, "Looking back to the beginning of this new journey for me I will never forget how hard it was the first two years with no deals, no clients, no guidance or support from the company where I started. I was ready to give up."
However, she decided against it and found success, as she said, "It was a long way to get where I am now. Everything came to me through perseverance, work ethic, failures, creative mind and most importantly my mindset that I am not a quitter."
Is John Daniels Jr under arrest?
John A Daniels was arrested on Thursday, August 17, and produced in court on Friday. He reportedly broke down and stuttered before a judge, and was ordered to be held without bail.
He has been charged with first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, and lying to investigators.
Who is John Daniels Jr?
The 30-year-old murder suspect is currently out of work. Previously, he worked in his father’s firm from 2018 to 2020, per his LinkedIn profile. He also had a stint as a marketing manager with Benzel-Busch Motor Car.
Daniels Jr had received an MBA from Boston College Carroll School of Management in May 2022.
