KINGSBRIDGE, BRONX: In a harrowing and deeply tragic case that has captured nationwide attention, Felix Herrera Garcia, the husband of a daycare owner, was arrested in connection with the death of a 1-year-old boy due to fentanyl exposure.

The arrest of Felix Herrera Garcia, which was carried out in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Agency and Mexican investigators, occurred in Sinaloa, a state in northwest Mexico. His capture came after an intense manhunt that spanned more than a week.

Felix Herrera Garcia was found in possession of two shopping bags and was seen fleeing from the daycare facility, marking a significant breakthrough in the case. He is now the fourth suspect to be apprehended in connection with the event.

The disturbing chain of events began when 1-year-old Nicholas Dominici tragically lost his life due to exposure to fentanyl. Grei Mendez, the owner of the daycare facility, and Carlisto Acevedo Brito, Felix Herrera Garcia's cousin, were taken into custody just days after the devastating incident.
