Who is Eilish Poe? Woman says ghost saved her after ex-boyfriend stabbed her multiple times
FORT COLLINS, COLORADO: A woman has shared a very astonishing story of survival after being almost murdered by her former boyfriend. Eilish Poe was reportedly stabbed 16 times by Jonathan Crossley in November 2020 inside her home.
However, a ghost apparently helped her to call emergency services.
Poe detailed her story on the ‘Otherworld’ podcast series, The Mirror reported. She also claimed that her encounters with the “ghosts” have not yet stopped.
Who is Eilish Poe?
Poe’s LinkedIn account states that she is an elementary school teacher at the Academy of Arts & Knowledge. She lives in Colorado but is originally from Fate, Texas. As per her Facebook page, the 25-year-old is in a relationship with a person named Timothy Steuber.
What did Eilish Poe reveal on the podcast?
Poe reportedly said she had lost all hope after being brutally attacked and stabbed by her ex, who eventually took his own life. But suddenly, three "crystal clear" ghosts appeared in front of her and one of them even saved her life.
The teacher disclosed, “I got home from work and realized the basement door was open, which was weird at first...but I really didn't think it was too bizarre that it was open. I just closed it, I really didn't think too much of it.”
Eilish Poe claimed her ex ‘shoved my head into the wall’
But what followed was unimaginable. As soon as Poe went to check on her pet bunny, Boomer, Crossley attacked her from behind. Her first reaction was to defend herself but he then pushed her "down the stairs and I hit my back pretty bad,” she said.
“He grabbed me by the back of my hair... He shoved my head into the wall five or six times. After that he took out a knife, like a normal kitchen knife... it was like four inches long probably... he overpowered me,” Poe recalled.
Eilish Poe says her ‘paternal grandmother was standing right there’
The woman eventually realized that fighting back was hardly possible and decided to pretend dead to save herself. “He stabbed me one final time. This was the deepest one, directly under my right collarbone. It actually ended up puncturing my lung, I'd find out later,” she shared.
But after her attacker left and she was waiting for her death, “some strange stuff started happening,” Poe told the podcast. “My paternal grandmother was standing right there...She was standing there just kind of quaintly smiling at me. She didn't wave or anything like that.”
“And then she wasn't. She was just gone," she continued. "And a second later, as if Jeanie faded out, the next person faded in.”
Eilish Poe’s friend who killed herself
This was Vicky, Poe’s high school best friend, who died by suicide in February 2020. “She was also just standing there, and the same as Jeanie she had this comforting smile on her face. I felt so f**king happy to see her because she committed suicide,” she said.
The teacher also noted, “I am still grieving for her three years later, but it felt like a bonus time, even just for five seconds, or however long it was, to see her and be near her again.”
Third ghost Eilish Poe saw
The third “ghost” was of Alyssa Burkett, who was murdered by her boyfriend in October 2020. This was not a comforting sight for Poe, who said, “I felt just an overwhelming sense of urgency, of she is here to warn me - do not let this be you, this can't be you…”
"She was there for a reason, she was there to get me out of there. The other two were smiling and happy, but when I saw Alyssa her eyes were bulging out of her head, she looked frantic, it was urgent,” Poe asserted.
Burkett 'pushed the air' to revive Eilish Poe
Poe reportedly claimed Burkett "pushed the air" and passed her energy to her. She went on to say, “The next thing I know, she literally pulled me up, and I was sitting upright…”
Soon, Poe grabbed her phone and called officials for help. Now, after several surgeries, she is doing fine.
She says people have "a lot of opinions" about her encounter with “ghosts” but asserts, “In reality, they weren't there. They don't know.”
Poe claims she sees “shadow people” even after her recovery. She insisted, “I started seeing these shadowy figures, they used to only be in the corner of my eye. Then it kind of escalated to seeing them in front of me as clear as can be, but also not clear because it was a staticky type of person, a figure always in the shape of a human.”
“I've seen them probably between 50 and 100 times - like a lot. They never approach me apart from one specific time, and the second I start to walk towards it or acknowledge it, it's just gone,” she added.
