Bliss' father turns out to be utlimate 'Love Is Blind' hater, gets criticized by fans

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON: The engaged couples met one other's families before heading to the altar in the latest episodes of 'Love Is Blind' Season 4. Often, the parents have little trouble voicing their displeasure with their children marrying someone they've just known for two weeks. However, their fear is frequently concealed by support, and they eventually come around after meeting their child's fiancé. This couldn't be further from the truth in the case of Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi.

Zack may have won over Bliss' mother and sisters, but her father was a different story. Shah, Bliss' father, was not having it, and Twitter had some comments about it.

Bliss' dad thinks she's fooling herself

Zack must have felt very secure about joining Bliss' family after his brilliant performance meeting Bliss' mother. Until it was time to meet her father. Bliss informed her fiancé that her father has a habit of icing her lovers.

It didn't help that Zack and Shah had such disparate interests. Shah inquired about fishing and golfing shortly after they sat down for supper, both of which Zack confessed he had little interest in. Then, in a cringe-worthy moment rivaled only by his singing, Zack launched a nervous diatribe on why a Washington state statute concerning suspended driver's licenses should be a civil offense. It was clearly something Zack was passionate about, but all the legalese came with a thud for Bliss' family. "I don't really have an opinion about that, honestly," Shah stated bluntly.

Following that awkward small conversation, Shah eventually got to the main reason he didn't approve of Bliss and Zack's upcoming wedding: he simply can't get behind the 'Love Is Blind' procedure. Shah expressed his displeasure when Bliss and Zack acknowledged they'd only known each other for 20 days. "Twenty days is just insanity. I know you're happy, but don't fool yourself," he said.

As it turns out, Shah is no new to marital problems with his daughters. He also claimed that he did not approve of one of Bliss' sisters marrying a former employee of his, which caused a schism between them.

Bliss boldly defended her decision at the end of the hectic evening. "I'm not going to get married just to get married," she said. "That's what you're doing," her father refuted.

'Bliss’s dad is a piece of work'

Slamming Bliss' dad, a viewer tweeted, "If I was Bliss, I would’ve thrown my dad’s divorce back in his face a lot harder. You’re not gonna sit up at my house and question my impending nuptials when you already dragged me through a messy divorce as a kid." One fan quipped, "Bliss dad is hilarious talking about marriage as he sits next to his second wife. Relax mister." Calling him a typical control dad, a fan wrote, "Bliss’s dad is the typical control dad. This wasn’t his choice, he wasn’t in control, so he doesn’t approve. He also doesn’t respect his daughters. That is sad." Adding a new moniker to him, a fan ranted, "bliss’s dad on love is blind might be the one of the biggest a**holes on the show this season and he was on air for less than 10 minutes?? like let her speak????"

A viewer while labeling Shah miserable, wrote, "Bliss' dad is an example of a miserable, angry person who can never be happy for anyone because they want everyone to be as miserable as them, kinda like Micahs friends." Another fan added, "No bc istg I was bout ready to molly wop Bliss's dad through the screen. Like sir, ur daughter's a 32 year old woman who can think for herself. If u dont go sit tf down somewhere." Comparing Bliss' mom to her dad, a fan tweeted, "Lol Seeing the spirit of Bliss’s mom and then watching her dad be an absolute ass at this dinner tells me everything I need to know about why her parents aren’t together." One fan added, "Wow, Bliss’s dad is a piece of work.."
