However, Aven did drop some nuggets of information about his family on the ABC show. During one of his dates with Rachel, the 29-year-old revealed that his parents separated when he was very young. He lived with his father for most of his childhood. Having spent most of the time with his father, Aven found it difficult to connect with his mother when he was later sent to live with her. However, the mother-son duo eventually hit it off and are really close to each other today.
As a symbol of her love, Aven's mother made him a bracelet to help him stay hopeful and attract positive vibes during tough times, which he always wears around his wrist.
