'Sinners' star Miles Caton is all set to channel his Sammie Moore and have the audience cheer for him, much like Michael B. Jordan's character did when the 2026 Oscars get underway on Sunday. Also in the mix is the 'KPop Demon Hunters' trio: Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, performing the hit 'Golden,' as the two original song nominees are slated to perform during the marquee awards ceremony hosted by Conan O’Brien. Earlier, Academy Awards producer and showrunner Raj Kapoor, along with executive producer Katy Mullan, announced the lineup.

Caton and Raphael Saadiq will perform the Oscar-nominated original song 'I Lied To You,' and they will be joined by Misty Copeland, Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey, and Alice Smith in an homage to the film’s singular visual style. On the other hand, the 'KPop Demon Hunters' stars will perform the hit chartbuster, 'Golden'. Furthermore, the star-studded event will also include appearances by Josh Groban and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

The next set of talent will be announced leading up to the iconic ceremony. "This year, our music performances are inspired by two of the most powerful cultural phenomena in film: ‘Sinners,’ the most nominated film in Oscars history, and ‘KPop Demon Hunters,’ a global pop culture sensation," Kapoor and Mullan said in their statement. "These show moments are more than just performances—they expand into cinematic tributes that celebrate the relationship between music and storytelling and why these films resonated so deeply with audiences around the world."

The latest marks another major bragging right for Caton after the actor and musician bagged the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer. He was also nominated for two Actor Awards and the BAFTA Rising Star Award. His character Sammie in Ryan Coogler's critically acclaimed period horror-thriller is a sharecropper and an aspiring blues musician. Over the course of the film, his character arc becomes key to the central plot.

In related news, Caton reflected on his recent success during an interview with THR. "It’s still surreal, especially being in the thick of the award season and just constantly being at the award shows that I grew up watching and being home watching," he said. "So to be there in person and be on the flip side of things is all just a surreal experience. But the last year was life-changing."

On the awards front, 'Sinners' is one of the frontrunners to win Best Picture. The nominees include 'Bugonia', 'F1', 'Frankenstein', 'Hamnet', 'Marty Supreme', 'One Battle After Another', 'The Secret Agent', 'Sentimental Value', and 'Train Dreams'. The Best Original song sees 'KPop Demon Hunters' tipped to take the honors, with 'Dear Me,' Diane Warren ('Relentless'),  'I Lied to You,' ('Sinners'), 'Sweet Dreams of Joy,' ('Viva Verdi!'), and 'Train Dreams,' ('Train Dreams') as the other nominees in the mix.

The Oscars will air live on ABC and stream live on Hulu on Sunday, March 15 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, with the official live red carpet show airing at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. The event will be held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood.
