"There's no crying in baseball." The line from Penny Marshall's 'A League of Their Own' would become so iconic that it would find a place in the American Film Institute's '100 Years... 100 Movie Quotes' in 2005.

Starring Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, and Madonna, among others, the fictionalized account of the early days of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League came out in 1992 to roaring critical and commercial success, raking in around $132 million worldwide. For those unaware, the AAGPBL was a professional women's baseball league that was in action from 1943 to 1954 and is considered to be a pioneer of sorts when it comes to professional league sports for women in America. An order for a reboot of the period sports comedy-drama was given by Amazon Prime Video in August 2020 and it was recently announced that the series of the same name is slated to premiere soon. With the release date nearing, let's take a look at where the cast of the hit 90s flick is right now.

Tom Hanks

Known best for his roles in 'Big' and 'Turner & Hooch' at that point, Hanks was seen as Jimmy Dugan in 'A League of Their Own.' He would go on to star in films such as 'Sleepless in Seattle' and 'Philadelphia,' with the latter earning him his first Academy Award for Best Actor. Tom Hanks has had a flourishing career since and has been honored with the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, the Kennedy Center Honors Medallion, the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the Golden Globe Cecil B DeMille Award, to name a few. On the personal front, Hanks has been married to Rita Wilson since 1988. He will soon be seen in a key role in Baz Luhrmann's 'Elvis.'

Geena Davis

Having worked as a model before being cast as April in Sydney Pollack's 'Tootsie' and having gained popularity for her role as Thelma Dickison in the 1991 film 'Thelma & Louise,' Geena Davis played Dorothy Hinson in 'A League of Their Own.' She would go on to star in the 'Stuart Little' trilogy and in shows such as 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'The Exorcist.' Her career saw a decline by the late 1990s but she broke the spell by working in television and also launched the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. The organization aims to reduce inequality in Hollywood and stereotyping of females while working with the industry to increase the presence of female characters.

She was peaking as a singer-songwriter with 4 studio albums out prior to being a part of the film. Since then, Madonna has been a part of films such as 'Body of Evidence,' 'Dangerous Game,' 'Four Rooms,' and 'Evita,' to name a few.
