Where is Ethan Crumbley’s mother now? Megan Imirowicz calls Michigan school shooter's mom her 'best friend' after release from jail
GROVELAND TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN: Following her conviction for the murder of her father and a year in prison, Megan Imirowicz, 19, was let go on Wednesday, July 26. Imirowicz received a sentence after being found guilty of illegally possessing or employing dangerous objects or irritants that cause death. After she soaked her father Konrad in a solution of water and lye in Michigan, he died six months later in March 2022. Imirowicz received a time-served sentence on Wednesday and was immediately released from custody.
As per The US Sun, Imirowicz delivered an emotional statement that Jennifer Crumbley, mother of Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley, assisted her in writing during her trial. Imirowicz described Jennifer in an interview with CourtTV shortly after her release as a "best friend that's in jail and she was with me through this whole thing." Ethan is currently awaiting punishment after entering a guilty plea to 24 crimes, which included terrorism and first-degree murder.

Where is Ethan Crumbley’s mom now?
Ethan is Jennifer Crumbley and her husband James' only child. According to reports, Jennifer was a local real estate broker. The Crumbleys are thought to be vocal supporters of gun rights even if they declined to state their political affiliations. Ethan shot four people dead and injured seven others at his high school in Oxford, Michigan in 2021, with a gun that Jennifer is said to have given him. Jennifer and James have entered a not-guilty plea to four counts of involuntary killing.
Jennifer is supposedly "best friend" to 19-year-old Imirowicz who said of Ethan's mother, "I have a best friend that's in jail and she was with me through this whole thing. She helped me with (the statement). She just told me to speak with my heart. She helped me write the things out [that] I didn't know how to put into words. Writing that took months. At the very last minute, I finally found the words."
The Crumbleys are battling for their freedom while the prosecution seeks to do something that has never been done: prosecute parents for a mass shooting. James and Jennifer will not be permitted to attend their son's hearing to decide whether he will be eligible for parole or will serve the rest of his life behind bars.
The prosecutor claimed the Crumbleys were manipulating their son to avoid receiving a lengthy prison sentence, painting them as selfish parents who only have their own interests in mind. He pointed out that if found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for purchasing the weapon their son used in the Oxford High School massacre in November 2021, the parents could spend up to 15 years in jail. Their 16-year-old son will likely serve a life sentence without the chance of parole.
'Was praying for a miracle'
Meanwhile, Imirowicz continues to maintain her innocence. She expressed astonishment at being freed following the trial without having to serve any additional time. She had already served 17 months when the judge gave her a year's imprisonment. She was also given a five-year probationary period. Imirowicz said, "I was shocked. I definitely didn't think (the judge) would give me a chance, but I was praying for a miracle today and that's what I got."
