HOOVER, ALABAMA: Carlee Russell's boyfriend deleted all posts of her from his social media just days after she returned home after the frantic search for her fearing abduction. Her missing case gained national attention and a huge search for her was launched.

Thomar Simmons has deleted posts included several pictures of himself and Russell smiling together and the most recent one being his statement that his girlfriend was "fighting for her life for 48 hours" during the time of her disappearance.

Where is Carlee Russell's boyfriend now?

Following the mysterious reappearance of Russell on Saturday, July 15, two days after she was reported missing, Simmons wiped all traces of her from his social media. However, it remains unclear where he is currently. His deletion comes hours after investigators revealed Russell's suspicious internet searches before she went missing including, kidnap revenge thriller 'Taken', Amber Alert costs, 'How to take money from a register without being caught,' and the cost of bus tickets to Nashville.

Simmons' since-deleted post he shared on Sunday read, "She was literally fighting for her life for 48 hours, so until she’s physically & mentally stable again she is not able to give any updates or whereabouts on her kidnapper at this very moment."

Russell's disappearance

On Thursday, Russell went missing from Interstate 459 in Hoover, Alabama. She disappeared after she called the police to say that she saw a young boy alone on the side of the road. "Hi, I am on Interstate 459 and there just a kid just walking by themselves [sic]," she told the officer in the 911 call. Russell called her relative after the emergency call but the call went silent and she went missing. Two days later, she re-emerged. The CCTV footage showed Russell walking alone toward her house. Police arrived at her house after her family called 911. Though dispatch reports stated she was "unresponsive but breathing," police who arrived at her home found her " conscious and speaking."

She was then treated at a hospital and was released later. According to officials, she has only cooperated with a single interview with investigators. "She stated when she got out of her vehicle to check on the child, a man came out of the trees and mumbled that he was checking on the baby. She claimed that the man then picked her up and she screamed," said Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis who recounted Russell's statement to police.

"He then forced her into a car. The next thing she remembers is being in the trailer of an 18-wheeler," the chief said. The 25-year-old woman allegedly told officers that the kidnapper was white and was with a woman. She claimed she also heard a child with them. "She told detectives the male had orange hair with a big bald spot on the back," according to New York Post

Russell allegedly escaped from the two people who forced her to undress by running through the woods and returning to her house. She stated they did not have sex with her and she thought they took her pictures. However, investigators find her claims suspicious following her odd internet searches and her alleged stealing of a robe and toilet paper from the spa at The Summit where she worked. "That’s the $100 question," said Derzis when he was asked what exactly happened during Russell's disappearance.
