Zendaya reveals first look of ‘The Drama’ alongside ‘Batman’ star, teases ‘formal invitation’ next
Zendaya gave a glimpse of what to expect in her upcoming romcom, 'The Drama,' alongside Robert Pattinson. The 'Euphoria' star took to Instagram to share an image of herself and Pattinson. She also added a caption, leaving fans up in arms in the comments section.
In her post, Zendaya wrote, "THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow." At the time of writing, there is no plotline that's been revealed, but there have been reports suggesting the pair's romance takes an unexpected turn before their wedding day. Starring alongside Pattinson and Zendaya are Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, and Hailey Gates.
Earlier, the 'Batman' star shared some of their experiences while on the sets of 'The Drama'. Pattinson, in an interview with French publication Première, revealed his conundrum with a segment of the script. He added how Zendaya was a massive help.
"We had a scene together that was driving me crazy. I was desperately looking for its meaning, writing page after page of textual analysis. I ended up calling Zendaya the night before shooting the scene. I shared my doubts with her, I spoke for two hours, and after a while, very calmly, she made me understand that the line just said what it meant to say, that there was no hidden meaning," Pattinson explained.
The duo's project also marks what will be a packed 2026 for them. Pattinson has a string of major projects lined up with 'Dune: Part Three', and 'Batman: Part II'. He will also be seen in 'Here Comes the Floord' alongside Denzel Washington, Daisy Edgar-Jones, and Moises Arias.
As for Zendaya, she will reprise her role as MJ in Marvel’s 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' and as Rue Bennett in Euphoria’s third and final season. She will also suit up in 'Dune: Part III' as Chani. Zendaya and Pattinson will also appear in Christopher Nolan’s 'The Odyssey' as Athena and Antinous, set for release on July 17.
'The Drama' releases in theaters on April 3, 2026.
