Recovering from an gun-shot injury that could ruin his career, Ethan Choi is called right after a swimming session and is informed of his father Patrick Choi, a Navy veteran, not keeping well. Through the course of the episode, we get to see the state of their relationship and as Patrick's health gets worse so does their bond. The Navy veteran sends his son on an errand and dies before he can get it done, only because he didn't want his son to see him die. Brian Tee's performance in this episode was lauded, with many expressing their emotions over how the episode affected them.
