'Chicago Med' Episode 12: Fans think anti-vaxxers are 'irresponsible and selfish'

The latest episode of 'Chicago Med,' NBC's medical drama television series, has evoked quite the response from fans. Episode 12 seamlessly switches between an expecting mother who has strong opinions about the Covid-19 vaccines, a strained father-son relationship, and a crime involving organ transplant.

Viewers seemed to have a lot to say about the three medical scenarios involved in the episode and its consequences. They were quick to share their views on the events that unfolded and were particularly affected by the vulnerability that Brian Tee brought to his character, Ethan Choi.

"Welp, anti-vaxxer Lisa, play stupid games, etc. I do feel bad for the husband and baby, but… #ChicagoMed," tweeted one of the fans, referring to how the character's choices led to her death and impacted her family. "She thought the vaccine would harm her but her foolish WebMD research to the vaccine killed her I’m sorry but LMFAOOOOOOO GRAND OPENING AND GRAND CLOSING #ChicagoMed," another tweet read. "Lisa took her ignorance and stubbornness to far and it cost her her life smh. Now your child has no mother. #ChicagoMed@NBCChicagoMed
#OneChicago," opined one of the fans. "Oh the antivaxer chick Lisa died huh? Why didn’t she call her fellow conspiracy nuts to donate their unvaccinated blood? #ChicagoMed," one of the viewers questioned. 

A fan guessed quite early that the character wouldn't make it to the end of the episode. "Lisa is ridiculous. Irresponsible, selfish, & ridiculous. #ChicagoMed She gon be dead by the end, right?" 

"Aww Ethan knew his father was gonna die. Even on his death bed his father couldn't be nice to him. #ChicagoMed@NBCChicagoMed #OneChicago," a viewer tweeted. "NO! Ethan's dad just passed away! He didn't want him to see him die! OH! #ChicagoMed," grieved one of the fans. "brian tee acting showcase #chicagomed," a tweet read, lauding the actor's performance in the episode.

"Terrell get your ignorant behind in somewhere. This is not about you. Damn. #ChicagoMed," read one of the tweets. "Terrell needs to calm the "F" down! #ChicagoMed," one of the fans tweeted. "He is terrible. Fans are also predicting how a crime, caused by organ transplant protocol, could spill over to the upcoming episodes. Chances are they could be right, given how some of them were accurate when it came to guessing the perpetrator of said crime. All in all, the latest episode of 'Chicago Med' has set the bar high when it comes to expectations and we can't wait to find out what comes next.
