Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy to return for 'A Quiet Place Part III' with surprise 'Sinners' star
John Krasinski has given horror fans a reason to celebrate. On March 16, the writer-director shared exciting news about the cast of 'A Quiet Place Part III' on his social media accounts. The post featured copies of the script for the upcoming horror film with the names of the film's cast members. Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe will reprise their roles from the franchise's second installment alongside new cast members, including Jack O'Connell, Katy O'Brian, and Jason Clarke. Krasinski shared his excitement by captioning the post, "So proud to be a part of this #AQuietPlace family… old and new! Here we go! Part III - July 30th, 2027."
Krasinski will be back at the helm as a writer, director, and producer for Part III. 'A Quiet Place: Part III' will continue the story of Blunt's Evelyn Abbott as she fights for her survival in a post-apocalyptic world taken over by deadly, alien creatures. With help from her friend Emmett (Murphy), she will go to any lengths to protect her children, Regan (Simmonds) and Marcus (Jupe), from the Death Angels armed with hyper-sensitive hearing. Variety has reported that production on the horror threequel will begin in New York this spring. In August 2025, the 46-year-old Krasinski announced on Instagram that Part III would hit theaters on July 9, 2027, but the release date was later pushed back to July 30, 2027.
O'Connell has established himself in the horror genre with '28 Years Later,' its sequel '28 Years Later: The Bone Temple,' and 'Sinners,' which won four Oscars on March 15. Meanwhile, O'Brian has survived the dystopian world in 'The Running Man' and 'The Mandalorian,' while Clarke has experience fighting alien creatures in 'Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes' and 'Terminator Genisys.' Fans are excited to see how the trio comes together in the high-stakes world of 'A Quiet Place.'
The popular franchise began with the release of 'A Quiet Place' in April 2018, and was followed by the sequel, 'A Quiet Place: Part II', in May 2021. The last film in the franchise was the prequel spin-off, 'A Quiet Place: Day One,' which was released in June 2024. Directed and written by Michael Sarnoski, the story was set in New York during the early days of the alien invasion and starred Oscar-winning Lupita Nyong'o in the lead role. The three films in the franchise have collectively grossed $900 million at the box office, and fans can't wait for the next installment. Paramount Pictures is set to release 'A Quiet Place: Part III' in theaters. Krasinski will serve as producer alongside Allyson Seeger for Sunday Night, Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller for Platinum Dunes.
