According to Stars Offline, Mia was born in 1984. She was adopted by a couple named Robin Elaine Lynem and Daryl Lynem. Prior to being adopted by the couple, Mia was in the foster-care system. There's no information available in public about her biological parents, although the trailer features the 'RHOP' star speaking to her mother. Mia's mother reportedly did what was in Mia's best interests.

Mia graduated with a degree in neuromuscular massage therapy from the Southeastern Institute. 

Career

Mia is a very successful entrepreneur and businesswoman today. In the trailer she declares that she "earned" her success after growing up in the foster care system. After her graduation, Mia joined as a clinic director in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began climbing the career ladder with her hard work and smart business moves, and soon became the owner of Massage Envy Spas. 

She is also the founder of cruelty-free cosmetics company Amilleon London. She also owns a franchise of chiropractic clinics called The Joint Chiropractic with her husband Gordon Thornton. They have offices located in New York, Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. Her social media is filled with inspirational and empowering messages and quotes for female entrepreneurs.
