Academy Award-winner Ke Huy Quan dons one of the most unexpected roles yet. The actor will voice Gary De’Snake, a friendly pit viper in 'Zootopia 2', set to release on November 26. The role came about in an equally unexpected way.

According to Red94, an animator working on the sequel saw Quan's interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and was thoroughly impressed. The audio clip was edited into the character, and later saw him to be the perfect fit for the role. With the new gig, the spotlight is once again on the 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' star, with his net worth in focus.

Per Celebrity Net Worth, Quay is estimated to be worth $2 million. The outlet also added that he purchased a home worth just over $500,000 in Woodland Hills, California, and that the property is reportedly worth $1 million.

In related news, Quan revealed how the role came about. "I didn’t know it at the time, but when I went in to meet with the creative team," he told Entertainment Weekly. "They showed me my appearance on Stephen Colbert, but my face was gone. It was replaced with Gary, the snake, but I kept my voice. And yes, thanks to that animator, that’s how I got the role. Everywhere I go, I feel really excited,” he says. “I still can’t believe, ‘Oh my God, I’m still here.’ And that’s very Gary."

"Very soon, they discover a skin from Gary, and they need to go on this journey to find out why, for a hundred years, no reptile has ever set foot in Zootopia,” Quan added when asked about the movie. But here’s the twist. Gary isn’t the villain. He’s actually 'very fun and friendly, kind of goofy, and he has a big heart.' He’s an eternal optimist who just wants his family to come back to Zootopia. He wants to help solve the mystery and prove that reptiles belong there, too." The movie also features voices — Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, Nate Torrence, and Shakira.

The official synopsis reads, "In Walt Disney Animation Studios 'Zootopia 2," detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before."
