Before the premiere of Season 3, here’s a quick recap of what happened in Season 2.

In Season 2, Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) had an unexpected run-in with his high school friend, Claire (Molly Gordon) which led to a romantic affair.

While Claire was completely invested in this relationship, Carmy often prioritized his work more than his love life.

Towards the end of the season, Carmy admitted to himself that this relationship had been an "amusement" and that it was a waste of time since it distracted him from his work at the restaurant.

Claire overheard Carmy's confession that he made while trapped inside the walk-in fridge. She stormed out of the restaurant which marked the end of their relationship.

By the end of Season 2, Carmy succeeded in opening his fine-dining restaurant. From denied permits to mold problem to Carmy getting locked in the walk-in-fridge on the opening night, the crew survived all the mishaps to make it happen.

This achievement lays the foundation for Season 3 as Carmy will be seen setting order and perfection in his new kitchen by making a list of "non-negotiables" which the crew doesn't seem to approve of.

A hierarchy was introduced at the restaurant in 'The Bear' Season 2

Everyone at the restaurant was assigned a designation in Season 2. Carmy is the owner and executive chef, Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri) is the chef de cuisine.

Richie Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) takes on the role of general manager and chef de partie. Marcus Brooks (Lionel Boyce) is the patissier, and Tina Marrero (Liza Colón-Zayas) is the sous chef.

This new hierarchy will be continued in Season 3 and it would be interesting to see how they all blend into their new roles and work as a team.

Jimmy Kalinowski invested in Carmy's new restaurant

When Carmy fell short of money to transform his family's sandwich shop into a fine-dining restaurant, he Sydney, and Sugar Berzatto (Abby Elliott) asked Jimmy Kalinowski (Oliver Platt) for an investment.

Jimmy gave $500,000 loan on a condition that they have to repay the loan in 18 months. If they fail to make payments, Jimmy will take ownership of the property.

In Season 3, Carmy and Sydney will be working tirelessly to ensure they pay Jimmy on time, or risk losing everything they've worked so hard to build.
