CHICAGO, ILLINOIS: As the main cast of 'The Bear' reunites for Season 3, fans are intrigued about Molly Gordon's return, especially how things ended for her character in Season 2.

Molly Gordon appeared as Claire in Season 2. She is the childhood friend of the Berzattos and she had a crush on Carmy as a teenager.

When Carmy Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) was stuck in a walk-in fridge in the finale of 'The Bear' Season 2, and Claire decided to check on him, she found out what Carmy felt about their relationship.

While talking to himself, Carmy confessed that Claire had been a distraction for him and he couldn't afford to be in a relationship.

"I don’t need to provide amusement or enjoyment. I don’t need to receive any amusement or enjoyment. I’m completely fine with that. Because no amount of good is worth how terrible this feels. It’s just a complete waste of f*****g time," he said to himself.

Claire overheard everything from the other side of the fridge, walked away from Carmy's life, and didn't return his calls thereafter.

Carmy listened to a voice note left by Claire earlier, in which she confessed to always having a crush on him. She said that she loved him and added, "I'm so proud of you." This made Carmy break into tears.

Here's what fans feel about Claire's possible return in 'The Bear' Season 3

Fans of 'The Bear' aren't quite fond of Claire and feel that she shouldn't make a return to the narrative after the dramatic breakup in Season 2.

On Reddit, one fan wrote, "Honestly, I don't wanna see her in season 3," while another added, "I’m not even done with season 2 and I can’t stand her character. Also, after reading about her and her in’s in the industry, can’t stand her either. Her parts in The Bear are so cringe."

"I hope not," wrote another fan of the show who doesn't want Claire to return in Season 3.

Another fan wrote on Reddit,  "Only if it’s to provide closure on her and Carmy’s relationship. I didn’t find her character very flushed out or compelling and I didn’t think her and Carmy had very good chemistry so I wouldn’t miss her if she didn’t have a big role in season 3.

"But if she is returning I hope they give her more to do then just make quippy comments and stare at Carmy," the fan added.

However, certain people do believe that Claire is a well-written character and deserves more screen time.

A fan wrote, "I wouldn’t mind they bring her back to do right by her character the next time around. It’s such a well written show, and obviously this show actually knows how to do well written female characters that Claire was such a blight across the whole season."

"I ended the season not caring much for Claire at all and yet also wanting to see more of her," the fan added.

"Sorry but if she goes crawling back to him after the fake number AND what he said in the freezer she doesn't love herself lol," wrote another fan.

Putting an end to the debate of whether Claire would continue being a part of the story, Molly Gordon confirmed to Awards Daily that she is indeed returning with the main crew.

That being said, it would be interesting to see how Carmy and Claire's relationship pans out this season.

Will Carmy patch up with Claire or will he find this breakup as an opportunity to have his complete focus on his newly opened 5-star restaurant? We’ll have to wait to find out.
