New cast member Eboni Williams is yet to make her debut on Bravo's hit 'Real Housewives of New York City', but the star is already making waves. When Eboni was first announced as the new addition to the cast of Season 13, she instantly made history as the first Black housewife of the franchise.

To be alongside feisty and sassy housewives like Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps and Leah McSweeney, Eboni must have a very strong and big personality. Early life and education

Eboni was raised by a single mother in North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and African-American studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and her JD degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. While she was still studying law, she worked as a clerk for the Louisiana Secretary of State and the Louisiana Attorney General's office and assisted New Orleans council members in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Career

Eboni was destined for greatness right from the get-go. Even before making history as the first Black housewife in 'RHONY', she had a highly successful career as an attorney, and later got pulled into the entertainment industry. She worked as both a public defender and in private practice. The 37-year-old is the co-host on the hip-hop talk show 'State of the Culture' and 'FOX News Specialists' on FOX News Channel.

She was also the co-host of a talk show on WABC Radio in New York City. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she also had a couple of acting appearances. She reportedly appeared on an episode of the anthology series '1000 Ways to Die' and the 2012 film 'Against the Grain'. She became popular for her podcast called 'Holding Court'  in which she "cross-examines news-making cases and famous faces to peer into the court of law."

In 2017, she added another feather in her cap when she released her memoir 'Pretty Powerful: Appearance, Substance & Success'. Her latest accomplishment is landing the plum role of a housewife on 'RHONY'. After she was announced as a housewife,  Eboni released a statement saying, "NYC is filled with successful and dynamic Black women. I’m excited to join this legendary franchise as the first Black housewife. Can’t wait to share a slice of life in this city that hasn’t been seen before." She also teased fans about what to expect from her on 'RHONY', adding, "Anyone who’s aware of my work knows I don’t hold back, I’m going to keep it just as real here as I do everywhere else.”
