Was Taylor Schabusiness inspired by Jeffrey Dahmer? Cops say her 'interest' in serial killer is 'relevant' to Shad Thyrion's murder
GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN: Murder suspect Taylor Schabusiness, infamous for allegedly killing her lover Shad Thyrion and dismembering his head and penis before putting them in a bucket, had reportedly searched up serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer before the murder. As the trial is taking place for the gruesome murder of Shaf Thyrion, Schabusiness’s alleged interest in Dahmer is becoming clearer.
The 25-year-old allegedly killed her lover Thyrion during a meth-fueled sexual encounter in February 2022. It is also alleged that dismembered the body and left the bucket containing the severed head and penis into Thyrion’s mother's basement. Schabusiness pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, per The Sun.
Was Taylor Schabusiness inspired by Jeffrey Dahmer?
Tuesday’s proceedings in the Wisconsin court intensified Taylor Schabusiness’s connection with the infamous serial killer and sex offender Jeffrey Dahmer. While the judge has not yet commented on whether Dahmer inspired Schabusiness, it has been made clear through the evidence submitted in court on Tuesday, July 25, that Schabusiness took an interest in Dahmer.
During her session at the stand, former Green Bay detective Jenna Luberda talked about the presumed internet searchers made by Schabusiness around the days of the murder. Luberda noted that Schabusiness searched for Jeffrey Dahmer on Google along with bizarre objects including flaming pentagon and custom-made blow-up sex dolls. The detective said, "There were more references to Jeffrey Dahmer and searches for Jeffrey Dahmer, pictures, things of that nature." The detective also claimed that Schabusinesss had pictures of Dahmer saved in her phone.
While Schabusiness' lawyer called for a mistrial, saying that using Google searches is "irrelevant and highly prejudicial,” as many “odd” things are searched up often, the state prosecutors quipped back, saying, "The state has to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Mrs Schabusiness intended to engage in this conduct, that she intended to kill Shad Thyrion and dismember his body.” They specifically noted, "Her interest in Jeffrey Dahmer is relevant to this case,” before adding, "The state's position, clearly, is that she did this because she wanted to do this, this was something that interested her." Supporting the prosecutors, the judge allowed the evidence to be submitted.
Previously, forensic psychologist Diane Lytton who checked Schabusiness had also mentioned Schabusiness’s interest in Dahmer. Lytton was found claiming, "She had a thing with Jeffrey Dahmer a year ago." It is important to note here that Dahmer died 29 years ago. The psychologist also added that the prosecuted may have suffered a psychotic break and had "command hallucinations" which may lead her "to hurt herself or other people." Thereofre, Lytton held that Schabusiness was not fit for trial.
