Vernon Wells is back looking for 'The City of Gold'

'Indiana Jones' and 'Tomb Raider' fans, here's a reason to be absolutely thrilled — 'The City of Gold' is coming on VOD next month! The timeless story of a man with good intentions who finds the evil within him, the film follows an anguished media magnate, Jonathan Davenport, and his estranged lover. The two set off on a journey to the Peruvian Amazon in pursuit of a reclusive artist living in rebel occupation. Despite their philanthropic intentions, the mission proves to be the harbinger of something dark and ominous rooted deep within Jonathan.

The film stars 'The Road Warrior' actor Vernon Wells, Christopher Atkins ('The Blue Lagoon', 'The Pirate Movie') and Branscombe Richmond ('Chicago Med', 'The Scorpion King') along with John Charles Meyer ('Avenged'), Adrienne Whitney Papp ('The Resident'), Riley Dandy ('Double Play'), Robbie Allen ('Hellblazer') and Jennifer Rikert Wolski ('Escape Artist'). Directed by Harry Locke IV and written by Ronald A. Blum, the film is one of the many that have been made around the mysterious city of gold that is said to have existed in El Dorado. The search for it began almost a 100 years ago by Sir Walter Raleigh and the obsession surrounding the mythology has been a constant attraction to filmmakers and adventure seekers alike.

'The City of Gold' come on VOD on December 4 and DVD on January 1, 2019. Do we have pre-Christmas family film day sorted? We think so! Watch the trailer below:
