It has been less than a month since the trailer of the much-anticipated 'The Rise of the Skywalker' dropped in during the Star Wars Celebration in April, and we are already getting more info about the concluding chapter of the Skywalker saga. The upcoming J.J. Abram's blockbuster got the cover-story treatment on Vanity Fair featuring a bunch of new images that divulge details of new and recurring characters who are slated to appear in the movie.

The cover story also gives an exclusive look at Keri Russell's Zori Bliss. The character, described as the “masked scoundrel,” poses in an alleyway of a place called Thieves’ Quarter on the planet Kijimi. While her face is covered, she poses in her wine-colored suit with rose gold helmet and armor. Oscar-nominee Richard E. Grant will be playing First Order officer Allegiant General Pryde.

The stills also gave an idea of the new worlds that will be introduced in the movie. From the images and the story, it was surmised that the desert planet featured prominently in the trailer is called Pasaana and was shot in Jordan.

The images also include a first look at John Boyega's character, Finn, and Naomi Ackie's Jannah riding on Orbaks. In addition to these characters, also part of the exclusive stills, courtesy Annie Leibovitz, was the first look at Kylo’s Knights of Ren who make their first appearance in the films since their brief glimpse during Rey’s vision in 2015’s 'The Force Awakens.'

Apart from the new characters, we also get a glimpse of the old favorites like Chewbacca, BB-8, Poe Dameron and D-0.

VF also confirmed that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will also turn against the knights and fight them as shown in the trailer. Here's a look at the trailer:

'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' hits theaters on December 20. Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), Anthony Daniels (C-3P0) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) are all set to return in the epic trilogy.
