'V Wars' Season 1 Episode 7 features the Aline-Helen reunion 'Shadowhunters' fans wouldn't want to miss
Spoiler alert for Season 1 Episode 7
When 'Shadowhunters' was canceled by Freeform earlier this year, fans of the show started an online campaign to save the show known as #SaveShadowhunters. But, the campaign has been unsuccessful so far and the actors on the show have moved on to other projects.
Three of those actors are featured in Netflix's latest show, 'V Wars' which is streaming now. Kimberly-Sue Murray, Jacky Lai, and Sydney Meyer who played the Seelie Queen, Aline Penhallow, and Helen Blackthorn respectively are all members of the cast on 'V Wars' and all three of them play significant roles.
Of course, one of the reasons 'Shadowhunters' fans were upset was because Aline and Helen were only introduced in the final season while the books the series is based on by Cassandra Clare featured an epic romance between the two characters. Though Aline and Helen ended up dating on the show, we did not get to see much of that.
Fans of the Freeform show who would want to see the actresses reuniting on 'V Wars' would need to get to the seventh episode -- though it's not all good. After Kaylee's (Jacky Lai) intern/boyfriend is killed and she is on her own, she gets captured by the vampires, Ava (Syndey Meyer) and Brock.
When Kaylee realizes that Ava knows Michael Fayne, she demands to be taken to him -- she knows that the people of the government are not the good guys and wants to be able to tell the story from the point of view of Fayne and his alliance. However, Brock and Ava have different plans for Kaylee and plan to user her as a personal blood bag. But fans need not worry. The eight-episode sees Kaylee freed and achieving her goal of talking to Michael.
The seventh episode, however, is certainly one 'Shadowhunters' fans would not want to miss as they will see that Jacky Lai and Sydney Meyer still share the same chemistry from their 'Shadowhunters' days.
All episodes of the first season of 'V Wars' are now streaming on Netflix.
