Getting back into the dating game isn't as easy as it looks. Going out there, meeting someone new, allowing yourself to be vulnerable, seeing if you both are compatible — the checklist of love is endless. And if there's anyone who can vouch for that, it would have to be 'Unpolished' star Lexi Martone.

Post her breakup with Joe Fraumeni, we've seen the 'Unpolished' star try to get back in the game and it looks like she's seriously out of luck when it comes to love. Even though she's signed up on dating apps, even algorithms can't seem to help her — they've not only failed to give her a match, but they couldn't even give her options to pick from. 

Martone clearly has some tough luck when it comes to love, seeing that her criteria weren't even that specific — she was looking for a tall man who doesn't smoke and yet, it turns out, there aren't many of those on Long Island!

The latest episode of 'Unpolished' has Martone ready to give dating a second try, seeing that she soon realizes just how overworked and stressed out she is. She figures that a change of pace is just what she needs and reaches out to her friend, Brittani, who was eager to set her up on a blind date.

Having never been on one before, Martone seemed antsy about the idea but decided to keep an open mind. Showing up in classic Martone fashion — a holographic dress and sky-high boots, she went on a dinner date with a man who introduced himself as Demetrius. And let's just say, the date was... interesting.

While Demetrius kept flirting with Martone right off the bat, she was definitely a lot more guarded, for a range of reasons. First off being that she thought he was a pretty boy, which isn't her type at all. She reminded producers during her confessional that she needs a "man's man" and that Demetrius wasn't it all. He was, however, enthralled by her complete look, including Martone's funky holographic trucker bag, mentioning that he usually uses a fanny pack too.

That seemed like strike two for Martone. When it came to ordering their meal, Martone mentioned that she was on a diet and Demetrius agreed that he was on one too, for "speedo season". Martone looked like she didn't know how to react, quickly changing the topic to his hook necklace, which he countered with how he was hoping to hook her in.

Their post-date hug didn't go quite well either, seeing Demetrius insisted that the hug should last at least five seconds and Martone didn't share the sentiment. And neither did Twitter. "Damn Lexi no need to bust this nice guy's balls like that. That was a terrible date. #Unpolished" Tweeted a fan. "Speedo?! lmfao Oh Gesú!! @leximartone #unpolished I’m not going to say I hate his fanny pack. Lol," responded another.

"I swear to God, if a stranger tried to hug me during this pandemic they would get pepper-sprayed. (Probably pre- and post-pandemic too.) #unpolished" said a user, referring to that unnecessarily long hug. "Dear God poor @leximartone that was a hug from a serial killer #Unpolished" agreed a user.
