Perhaps, Netflix’s upcoming Italian comedy film ‘Under the Riccione Sun’ could help lift your spirits as it comes with an abundance of bottle games, cocktails by the beach and tons of laughter. Ahead of its release, here’s everything you need to know about ‘Under the Riccione Sun’. 

Release date 

‘Under the Riccione Sun’ will drop on Netflix on July 1. 

Plot 

The official synopsis for ‘Under the Riccione Sun’ reads: "While vacationing on the beaches of Riccione, a group of teens become friends and help each other manage romantic relationships and summer crushes."

Cast 

Cristiano Caccamo

Cristiano Caccamo is an Italian actor, who made his debut with a minor role as a soldier in ‘Ciechi’ in 2010. He was next seen as the protagonist’s friends in ‘Anastasia Love Dance’. He landed his first lead role in ‘Cenere’ which released in 2014. Caccamo started his career in television with ‘This is My Country’. He’s known for his work in television series ‘Anastasia Love Dance’ and ‘Celebrity Hunted: Manhunt’. 

Lorenzo Zurzolo

Lorenzo Zurzolo plays the role of Vincezo in ‘Under the Riccione Sun’. He’s an Italian actor known for essaying the lead role of Alessandro in 2020’s drama-thriller ‘Weekend’ and for his role in the television series ‘Un passo dal cielo’. 

Creators 

Caterina Salvadori, Enrico Vanzina and Ciro Zecca have worked on the script for ‘Under the Riccione Sun’. It is directed by Younuts and produced by Andrea Occhipinti, while Tommaso Arrighi and Enrico Vanzina have served as the executive producers. Mattia Guerra and Stefano Massenzi are the associate producers.

The official trailer for ‘Under the Riccione Sun’ was released on June 17. It follows a group of youngsters and their pursuit of love using dating apps. The two-and-a-half-minute long video also gives a glimpse of teenage drama, mainly driven by romantic relationships and heartbreaks, apart from the comical chops that it has in store for the viewers.
