ABC, like many networks, debuted a brand new show titled 'Promised Land' earlier this year. The family drama revolved around a Latinx family who are the owners of a vineyard in California's Sonoma Valley and are the third-largest wine producers in the nation.

'Promised Land' dives into the family history of the Sandovals and the powerplays made for the wine business by internal as well as external forces. The ABC shows stars various Latino actors like John Ortiz and Cecilia Suarez in the lead. But fans, who were quite enjoying the show, were in for a rude shock after the channel abruptly pulled the plug on 'Promised Land' Instead, the show shifted to Hulu where the rest of the season has been aired.

'Promised Land' was important as not many shows have Latino dominant cast and was an important show for the representation of the community. The official synopsis read: "'Promised Land' is an epic, generation-spanning drama about a Latinx family vying for wealth and power in California's Sonoma Valley". However, the show was pulled off after airing just five episodes due to its low ratings.

This upset the fans who eagerly tuned in each week and enjoyed the various dramatic plots and back and forth of the family history. Many called out ABC for not giving the show a proper chance and for pulling it way too early. A few fans even asked Hulu to save the show and renew it for a Season 2. Take a look at what fans have to say about ABC pulling off 'Promised Land.'

A fan asked, "@hulu is there any chance of a renewal for #promisedland even though ABC didn’t want the show anymore??", while another exclaimed, "You too sis! Oh I look forward to it every Monday. Even if they stream it only on HULU, they need to save this show. #Promisedland". A tweet calling out ABC network read, "@ABCNetwork You never give good shows an opportunity. The fact that #promisedland is replaced by #thegooddoctor is pitiful. How can you judge the success of a show on just the first 6 episodes. A damn disgrace!".

Another viewer commented, "I just heard about Promised Lands low ratings and it moving to Hulu only Why aren’t y’all watching this good ass show?!?! Drama, twists & turns, sexy ass cast, tons of Latinx ppl in front of and behind the camera, queers, love, & laughs. PPL it’s a must watch! #PromisedLand", while another said, "Wait, so it's not canceled?!! These fake news send my blood pressure up. I love this show!! And am rooting for @BellamyYoung aka Margaret #promisedland". A tweet also read, "... @ABCNetwork knu better than to boot this new Black CLASSIC after they taking @blackishabc from us! Not to mention yall need to go to Hulu & support #PromisedLand another great show ABC gave up on... but I'm sure that was yall fault for not watching".
