‘Tuca & Bertie’ Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about the Adult Swim animated series
Comedians Ally Wong and Tiffany Haddish will be reprising their roles in the animated series, 'Tuca & Bertie', two years after Netflix had canceled the series. Season 2 of the show has been greenlit by the Adult Swim network and will come to the small screen hopefully next year. The Wrap reported that the network has ordered 10 episodes of the series with creator Lisa Hanawalt excitedly telling the publication, "I’ve been a fan of Adult Swim shows since my teens, so I’m thrilled to bring my beloved fowl to the party and be a new voice for a fresh decade of absurd, irreverent, yet heartwarming adult animation."
The series first made its debut in 2019 on its original streaming network, Netflix, but was canceled after Season 1 by despite its popularity. At that time, Hanawalt threw a bit of shade tweeting that even though the show received good reviews from critics, "none of this makes a difference to an algorithm.” But now fans can rejoice as Adult Swim has taken on the show, giving it another chance to shine and here is all we know about the series upcoming season.
Release date
The exact date is yet to be released, but the official Twitter account for Adult Swim revealed that the new season of 'Tuca and Bertie' will come to the network in 2021.
Plot
The series follows the life of two best bird friends that live in the same apartment building. The narrative chronicles their lives as 30 something-year-old adults and they are dealing with relationship struggles, career concerns, anxiety and aspirations in life.

Tiffany Haddish voices Tuca
Tiffany Haddish is an actress and producer and is known for her role as Dina in 'Girls Trip' (2017), as Hi-C in 'Keanu' (2016) and as the voice of Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi in 'The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part'
Ali Wong voices Bertie
Ali Wong is an actress and writer, known for her works such as 'Ali Wong: Baby Cobra' (2016), Sasha in 'Always Be My Maybe' (2019) and Ellen Yee in 'Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn' (2020).
The rest of the cast includes Steven Yeun as Speckles, Nicole Byer as Gamby, Reggie Watts as Pastry Pete, John Early as Dirk and Richard E Grant as Holland.
