'Tuca & Bertie' Season 2 Full Cast List: Meet Tiffany Haddish and other actors
More than two years after its debut on Netflix, the popular animated series ‘Tuca & Bertie’ is set to arrive with Season 2 on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Season 1 garnered universal acclaim and currently holds a rating of 98 percent on the review site Rotten Tomatoes. However, the streaming service decided to cancel the show after one season.
Cartoon Network acquired the rights and decided to bring back the series for another season. The upcoming edition of ‘Tuca & Bertie’ will see Bertie trying to excavate her inner ghouls with a therapist, while Tuca prefers to stuff hers behind the toilet. On the other hand, Speckle is trying to build a new home, only to find himself on the brink of insanity.

The first season had a pretty solid cast and had some really famous names like Tiffany Haddish, Ali Wong, and Steven Yeun. Fortunately, all the aforementioned names are returning for Season 2 as well. As of now, only these three names have been confirmed by the makers for the second season which is scheduled to premiere exclusively on Adult Swim on Sunday, June 13.

Tiffany Haddish as Tuca
Born on December 3, 1979, Tiffany Sara Cornilla Haddish is undoubtedly one of the most talented stars in Hollywood right now. However, the journey of becoming a star was not that easy. Prior to her on-screen success, she held a number of jobs, including customer service for Air New Zealand and Alaska Airlines. Haddish's first break was a spot on the comedy competition ‘Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes?’
She made her feature film debut in 2005 with ‘The Urban Demographic’ and also got a chance to be on the popular Disney show ‘That’s So Raven’. Haddish made a lot of cameo appearances in shows like ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’, ‘My Name is Earl’ and ‘The Underground’. In 2014, she was cast in the Oprah Winfrey Network drama series ‘If Loving You Is Wrong’. However, she left the show after one season for a regular role on NBC’s ‘The Carmichael Show’.
The actress also voiced the character, Cindy, in the animated series ‘Legends of Chamberlain Heights’ and won her first NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. After making a name for herself in the industry, she got the chance of hosting the ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 2017. The episode garnered universal acclaim and Haddish won the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series.
Her other film & TV credits include ‘Keanu’, ‘Girls Trip’, ‘The Last O.G.’, ‘Solar Opposites’, ‘The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part’ and ‘Here Today’.
Ali Wong as Bertie
The Asian-American actress graduated from the University of California and discovered her love of performing as a member of the university's LCC Theatre Company. She started her career as a stand-up comedian and moved to New York for better opportunities. Wong became one of the most successful comedians in 2010 and Variety named her one of the "10 Comics to Watch" in 2011.
She made her television debut in 2011 with the TV series ‘Breaking In’. She was also cast as series regular in the comedy series ‘Are You There, Chelsea?’ and garnered a lot of praise for her acting. Meanwhile, her first movie, titled ‘Savages’, came in the year 2012 and included stars like John Travolta, Benicio del Toro, Salma Hayek, Blake Lively, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Taylor Kitsch.
Since then, Wong has appeared on projects such as ‘Inside Amy Schumer’, ‘BoJack Horseman’, ‘American Housewife’, ‘The Lego Ninjago Movie’, ‘Always Be My Maybe’ and ‘Birds of Prey’.
Steven Yeun as Speckle
Born on December 21, 1983, in Seoul, South Korea, as Yeun Sang-yeop, is a Korean-American actor who started his career as a stage actor. His first acting role came in 2009 with the movie ‘Jerry’ and he received praise for his performance. However, he gained prominence for his portrayal of Glenn Rhee in the blockbuster hit TV series ‘The Walking Dead’. His popularity went to a whole new level after the series and he became a prominent part of the television industry.
Yeun has also worked as a voice actor for a good period of time. He has been a part of various animated sitcoms like ‘The Legend of Korra’, ‘American Dad!’, ‘Voltron: Legendary Defenders’, and most recently, ‘Invincible’.
Yeun was recently seen in the movie Oscar-nominated movie ‘Minari’ and was also nominated in the Best Actor category.
