'Trinkets' Season 2: Who's Jillian, Elodie's new crush? Meet Chloë Levine and rest of the cast of the Netflix teen dramedy
After a supremely successful debut season in 2019, Netflix's refreshing teen drama and coming-of-age story 'Trinkets' is returning for a second season. The series follows the lives of three kleptomaniacs who couldn't be more different from each other, yet are inseparable after bonding at a support group meeting. With ample pitfalls and the quirky narrative, 'Trinkets' is based on the young adult novel by screenwriter Kirsten "Kiwi" Smith known for 'Legally Blonde', '10 Things I Hate About You', and 'She’s the Man', along with being the creator and executive producer of the show. And turns out, the leading ladies aren't unfamiliar faces to entertainment buffs. Here's who stars in the second season.
Chloë Levine
Jillian has got to be the most exciting part of the trailer. After the narcissistic rock goddess that was Sabine, Elodie finally needs a casual, slow-paced companionship and the shy, curly-haired, adorable Jillian looks just the type. Levine, an award-winning filmmaker and actress, who made her film debut as Sunday Wilson in Hilary Brougher's thriller 'Innocence'. Her other major TV guest roles include 'Highston' on Amazon, 'The OA' on Netflix and House of Cards' season 5.
Brianna Hildebrand
The 'Deadpool' actress plays the role of the grieving misfit Elodie who is the new girl in school, after coming to live with her dad following the death of her mother. Elodie also sparks romantic interest in Sabine, their love story remaining somewhat open-ended in the finale of season 1. Hildebrand earned rave reviews for her portrayal of the angsty Negasonic Teenage Warhead in both the 'Deadpool' movies (2016, 2018) and is also known for 'The Exorcist' series and 'Tragedy Girls'.
Kiana Madeira
As the mysterious outsider Moe, Madeira won hearts all over with the range of secrets, twists, and tragedies the character's background story and arc follows. The actress has starred in multiple Disney Channel Original Movies as well as in the SyFy shows 'Dark Matter' and 'Wynonna Earp'.
Quintessa Swindell
Described as an imperfect picture of perfection, Quintessa Swindell's Tabitha kicks off as a typical mean girl, the popular kind everybody hates but also secretly wants to be. She befriends Elodie and Moe when their deepest, darkest cravings turn out to be the same and together they end up having a bunch of fun along the way. After appearing in 'Trinkets' last year, Swindell went on to star in 'Euphoria' which was the most scandalous teen drama of our times. 'Voyagers' and 'Granada Nights' are also in her credits.
'Trinkets' premiers this August 25 with all episodes available for streaming only on Netflix.
