In a previous episode, we learned that Tenax and Ursus once lived together at the house of a nobleman as slaves. The nobleman used to get intimate with young boys who eventually plotted the killing of their master by setting the house of fire.

While Tenax managed to escape, Ursus was caught in fire. Tenax believed that Ursus was dead while Ursus made it out alive, believing that Tenax betrayed him.

Carrying resentment and revenge, he trained as a soldier, preparing for the day when he would find Tenax and kill him.

In a turn of events, Tenax kills Ursus with the help of Cala (Sara Martins-Court). However, his old acquaintance reveals a shocking truth from Tenax's past.

Tenax comes to know that he is actually a patrician, meaning, he comes from the aristocracy, and the nobleman was his biological father.
