'This is Us' Season 4 Episode 4 will look into Randall and Beth's past, but in the present, he is clashing with her mom!
In the previously aired season three of 'This is Us' when Beth (Susan Kelechi Watson) and Randall (Sterling K Brown) were having problems in their marriage, we got to delve deeper into their relationship than ever before.
Right from their first date to the present time, we saw that Randall has always had his way through his charm and loving ways. Beth, on the other hand, has always had to readjust her dreams to accommodate him.
She decided to still support him in his political career that she was completely against when it was projected that he would lose because she knows that their love is worth it.
In the end, Beth was the one resourceful and smart enough to suggest moving to Randall's constituency, so that he could focus on his job while she could start her own dance school, and the children could have both their parents around at all times.
With her dance school opening in the upcoming season four episode four of the NBC show, we will get to see more of her and her past, along with her past with Randall, especially when her mother comes to visit to lend her support.
Carol (Phylicia Rashad) is a tough woman who has had a tough life and a very strict code of conduct that she lives by. She has been tough on Beth all her life, and the last we saw her, she was still trying to manage Beth's life, even when she herself was going through a health scare.
With her back in the picture, we can surely expect some tense moments in the Pearson household.
It is clear from the trailer for the upcoming episode that Randall does not get along with Carol, and we have a feeling they have always gone head-to-head against each other when it came to Beth.
Both Randall and Carol have controlling personalities, and it seems like they are both trying to take charge of one of the biggest days in Beth's life and she is tired of it. In the trailer, we see that she is exasperated by their fights, but it remains to be seen if she is angry with both of them, or just disappointed.
We are excited to watch Beth navigate the waters when it comes to her mother and her husband in the same room together in the upcoming Season 4 Episode 4 of 'This is Us' which is will air on Tuesday, October 15.
