Before the Season 2 of ‘The Witcher’ hit Netflix, it was revealed that the newest season will give viewers a glimpse about how Witchers live at Kaer Morhen and the place’s iconic history will also be explored in the second edition. We saw a glimpse of Kaer Morhen in the animated movie ‘The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf’, but the series promises to give us a more detailed look at the legendary place.

The makers did not waste much time in giving fans what they needed and showed Kaer Morhen in the second episode of the latest edition. However, as soon as Geralt (Henry Cavill) and Ciri (Freya Allen) set their foot inside the castle, trouble follows the entire pack of Witchers. Initially, we are introduced to several Witchers who have managed to stay alive, and then, we get a look at their leader Vesemir, the menacing Witcher who is considered to be a father figure.

However, things get a lot more dangerous when the Witchers are celebrating with a bunch of women and when a woman tries to take off Eskel’s shirt, it is found that he has been infected by Leshy. The creature attacks Geralt with its wooden branches, but the Witcher manages to evade the deadly attacks. However, the creature gets hold of Geralt and injures him with one of its attacks. But soon we find out that the creature is actually Eskel, who has taken the shape of a leshy and is now turning against his own people. When it felt like Geralt is in deep trouble, Vesemir comes from behind and helps his student. They both team up and fight Eskel in order to save others. But Eskel manages to tangle Vesemir in his branches and Geralt had to take the difficult decision of killing him. Geralt kills Eskel and saves his mentor. Everyone is sad that they have lost one of their own, but they soon realize that he was infected by an evil force.

The episode ends with Geralt talking with Ciri and telling her how important it is for her to protect herself. So, he begins giving her lessons about combat.
