So will Kelly will be back in her chair on Monday's episode of 'The Voice'? Or is the singer simply referring to her pre-recorded segments on the show, since the trailer for the upcoming episode of 'The Voice' still shows Kelsea at the Battle Rounds.
But if Kelly is back this week, fans will certainly be looking for a lot of answers. It is still unclear as to what exactly has been ailing Kelly. At a time like this, the first question that came to mind was whether Kelly had Covid-19. However, the host of 'The Voice', Carson Daly, cleared that up in one of the initial episodes saying she had not tested Covid-19 positive and that they were taking all precautions.
Sick or not, her fellow judges weren't handling Kelly with kid gloves whenever she called into the show. According to Blake Shelton, Kelly just didn't want to make some tough decisions when the Battle Rounds were on and would rather have Kelsea tackle the unenviable task of sending contestants home. John Legend had some advice for Kelly and said she needed to make her voice sound raspier, so that people actually believed she was sick.
Knowing Kelly's tell it like it is attitude, we're sure that she will share with fans and also her contestants what exactly kept her away for two weeks. In the meantime we hope that Kelly gets her strength back, as she's going to need it for the Battle Rounds. It seems like Kelly has got a particularly strong team this year with singers such as Ryleigh Modig, Gihanna Zoe, Corey Ward and Savanna Woods.
