'The Voice' Season 18 Episode 3: With Sara Collins, Kelly Clarkson has a winner on her team, say fans
Kelly Clarkson is a great singer and performer. She is an even better mentor and is one of the coaches on NBC’s 'The Voice'. She is also very competitive. This season, her hunger for seeking talent for her team is evident and she is not the one to bow down to anything or anyone to get what’s hers.
One such instance was tonight's episode, the third blind audition where 18-year-old Sara Collins took the stage. She brought the house down with her rendition of 'Like Johnny and Jules' and Kelly immediately knew that she wanted her. She didn’t take a lot of time to make her decision and a couple of moments into the performance she had already pushed her 'I Want You' button. Nick Jonas was the second coach to turn around for Sara and it was claws out for both him and coach Kelly.
Both the coaches pitched for Sara to join their team. Nick said that Sara reminded him of Maren Morris. "I think it was a phenomenal performance," he said. Kelly Clarkson went a step ahead and spoke about her love for country music and also added that she won a season with a country artist (Chevel).
Sara was drawn to Kelly from the beginning and no points for guessing who she chose. It was obviously #TeamKelly all the way for her. Kelly was elated to have scored Sara on her team. She said that country music needs more female representation and added that she is glad to have Sara on her team.
Fans of the show also share the same belief and a lot of them cheered hard when Kelly turned for Sara and when Sara chose Kelly as her mentor. A lot of them felt Sara is a great catch for Kelly and that she has a winner on her hands.
One fan wrote, "@kellyclarkson #VoiceBlinds Sara is a great turn." Another tweeted, "@kellyclarkson #VoiceBlinds Great work snatching up Sara! Her voice sounded so pure over the television.... I felt like she had some Pam Tillis vibes."
Another fan tweeted, "@kellyclarkson #VoiceBlinds your gonna go far with Sara, finalist for sure!"
