Who is Cam Anthony?
Cam is a talented 19-year-old musician from Philadelphia who first shot to fame after he won the FOX revival of ‘Showtime at the Apollo’ in 2018. However, that did not land him big projects until he cleared the audition of ‘The Voice’ Season 20 this year and ultimately winning the singing reality show under the guidance of coach Blake. He reportedly took home the prize money worth $100K and a record deal with Universal Music Group. Cam had performed 'Lay Me Down' for the season premiere whereas, for the finale, the young crooner first sang Cynthia Erivo's ‘Stand Up’ and then gave a thrilling performance on Bon Jovi's ‘Wanted Dead or Alive’.
The teen singer is also a former YouTube sensation where he regularly used to upload his renditions of popular songs. Cam was raised in a church choir and has lent his voice to commercials for Folgers Coffee as a child. He started sharing videos on YouTube at the age of 11 and got highly praised for his coves on songs like ‘When I Was Your Man’ by Bruno Mars and ‘Royals’ by Lorde. Cam was picked to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the Truman Balcony for Barack Obama at the White House Easter Egg Roll in 2014. And, if that was not enough, he also made a guest appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ the same year.
