Peacock's upcoming comedy thriller, 'The Resort', will  premiere on Thursday, July 28, with the first three episodes. The rest of the eight-episode season will be released weekly on Thursdays. The show is described as “a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time.” Andy Siara and Allison Miller serve as the showrunners and the series is also executive produced by Sam Esmail and Chad Hamilton of Esmail Corp.

'The Resort' is a comedy mystery that explores love, marriage and family vacations, set against the backdrop of one of the Mayan Riviera’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries. The eight-episode series will unfold in two separate timelines. In the present, an anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple, Noah and Emma find themselves entangled in events that took place 15 years prior. 'The Resort' will reunite Cristin Milioti and series creator/showrunner Andy Siara, who worked together on the 2020 Sundance breakout 'Palm Springs'. What was Cristin Milioti's debut film/series?

Born in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Cristin found her love for acting at Long Lake Camp for the Arts in Long Lake, New York. Later, she took acting classes at New York University, but dropped out during her freshman year. Her debut film was 'Greetings from the Shore' (2007). The same year she appeared on Broadway as Alice Ashbrook in Helen Edmundson's award-winning adaptation of Jamila Gavin's novel 'Coram Boy'. She was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her work in 'Stunning'. In 2012, she received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical for her work in 'Once'. Her 'Once' performance, with fellow principal soloist Steve Kazee, earned the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

She was also part of CBS sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother' as the titular Mother, appearing for the first time in the season eight finale and was later promoted to a series regular for the show's ninth and final season. She has also appeared in 'The Wolf of Wall Street' (2013), 'The Occupants' (2014), 'It Had to Be You' (2015) and 'Breakable You' (2017). In 2020, Milioti starred in the critically acclaimed sci-fi/comedy 'Palm Springs', which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and on Hulu in July. In 2021, she starred in the HBO Max dark comedy series 'Made for Love' as the entrapped wife of a tech billionaire from whom she runs away.
