The latest episode of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta,' which aired on June 19, 2022, on Bravo at 8 pm ET, included several conflicts among the ladies, some of which were unwarranted. As Marlo reveals how it pained her when Kandi offered hand-me-down clothes for Marlo's foster girls, viewers on social media call her out for having double standards for similar business practices.

Kandi Burruss, the longest-running 'RHOA' star, is no stranger to turmoil. This season, she finds herself in the thick of things. Kandi, who gained prominence as a member of the girl group Xscape, has been a regular on 'RHOA' since 2009. Season 14 provides a fresh glimpse at Kandi's life, as fans witness her navigating hurdles in her marriage with husband Todd Tucker, moments with her mommy, Joyce Jones, dubbed "Mama Joyce," being a parent to her three kids, and, of course, drama with her other wives.

Kandi calls Marlo about the donation in 'RHOA' Season 14 (Bravo)

Her guest house was decluttered on the Sunday-night episode. It's something she just can't seem to get off her mind. She eventually decides to gather some of her old clothes and donate them to Marlo's nonprofit. Marlo is committed to encouraging young foster girls to thrive above their current circumstances and achieve success in all aspects of their lives. Kandi states that it boosts her soul to help lift the spirits of others. She hoped to donate some of her old clothes to these youngsters for a good cause while simultaneously working on her own project of clearing the house.

Finally, she phones Marlo and asks how she can help the foundation. Marlo tells her that she never gives "hand-me-downs" to her girls. She recalls receiving hand-me-downs while in foster care, which did not make her happy. She felt unworthy. Marlo reveals in a confessional that she would not "bring an open bag of chips to a Kandi C.A.R.E.S. event." Kandi C.A.R.E.S. is committed to enhancing the lives of single parents and children who are the product of single-parent households via education, empowerment, and enrichment. So seeing Kandi offer the "trashbag of clothes" bothers Marlo because, after 10 years of knowing her, she expects Kandi to know that doesn't happen to her foundation. Todd, Kandi's husband, reminds her that he told her Marlo would not accept these clothes. Kandi thinks Marlo was crazy to make a big deal out of this, especially because she was providing "gently used clothes" to the girls in her organization. She believes her clothes are nice since she rarely wears them. She is positive that someone would wear her clothes.

When the girls join again for lunch later to encourage Shereé following her episode with Tyrone, everyone gets together to express themselves once more. Kandi skips the lunch because she is in LA filming for her upcoming TV program, but Marlo sees it as an opportunity to bring up what happened between her and Kandi and her "used clothes." Kenya calls her out and tells her she's making a big deal out of nothing. She claims she grew up in used clothes. Kenya believes that putting words on clothes sends the incorrect impression. Marlo claims that she was bullied as a child for wearing used clothing. "Who didn't get picked on at school?" Kenya wonders. She requests that she not vilify someone when their charitable effort is insufficient for her.

Fans were eager to point out Marlo's double standards on social media after the show aired. Marlo is the proprietor of Le Archive, an Atlanta destination luxury store that rents out over 5,000 pieces from Hampton's own wardrobe as well as newly sourced clothing. She invited the women to the launch party earlier this season, where she revealed that she leases out "her" wardrobe to high-profile clients on a per-day basis. Fans believe it is unjust for her to turn down Kandi's offer, referring to the clothing as "hand-me-down" or "used," while she has been renting her "own" clothes for a profit. On Twitter, they stated: "Marlo::: Im offended Kandi would even offer to give my girls hand me downs. Also Marlo::: Please rent my used clothes from Le’Ebay to I can fund my lifestyle. #RHOA".

Another fan tweeted: "Kandi tryna help Marlo & Marlo over there dragging her name through the damn mud. A mess all around. #RHOA".

One fan called her out and her business for making profit on "used clothing," amidst the drama, as they wrote: "Marlo’s so called business is about HER used clothes but she got a problem with used clothes being donating to her charity. Girl bye #RHOA"

Some fans seemed to agree with Kenya and her opinion on not associating values with clothing. Their tweet read: "I agree with Kenya. You can’t make the girls in foster care think that their value is in clothes. #RHOA"

Another fan sided with Kenya for calling out Marlo's behavior, as they wrote: "Kenya clocks Marlo every time. She is so superficial and wants to chastise people for not being as materialistic as her. #RHOA".

Looking back at Kandi and Marlo's realtionship, a fan wrote: "Marlo: Kandi doesn’t do anything for anyone she’s selfish! Also Marlo: No Kandi I won’t take your gently used clothing’s for those in need!! #RHOA".

A viewer of the show also pointed out the fact that rich kids have been thrifting old/used clothes these days, so Marlo shouldn't be really making a big deal out of the situation. The tweet reads: "I’m sure girls in foster care would be more than happy with luxury name brand clothes even if they were previously used. Even the rich kids thrift now #RHOA".
