'The Prom': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and everything you need to know of Ryan Murphy's LGBTQ-centric musical film

After Emma gets banned from attending the event as a couple with her girlfriend, it prompts a cast of Broadway eccentrics to descend on the teen's small-town home to help her get justice and acceptance.

Ryan Murphy recently signed a deal with the streaming giant Netflix under which his first movie project was announced for the platform. The man who produced amazing TV shows like 'American Horror Story' and 'American Crime Story' left 20th Century FOX Television for a mega-deal with Netflix estimated worth $300 Million.   

Ryan's latest project is called 'The Prom', a Broadway musical which is an adaptation of the book, 'The Prom', by Jack Viertel and a book by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin. The shooting will begin next month and we absolutely cannot keep calm!

The film will be releasing in Fall 2020 on Netflix. 

Plot:

The plot swirls around the experiences of an Indiana lesbian teenager who wants to bring her girlfriend to her school's big dance. As she gets banned from attending the event as a couple, it prompts a cast of Broadway eccentrics to descend on the teen's small-town home to help her get justice and acceptance.
