LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA:  The legen-wait for it-dary person returns to the spin-off sequel, 'How I Met Your Father' led by Hillary Duff. The OG CBS series, 'How I Met Your Mother' premiered back in 2005 and went on till 2014. As we know the series follows the life of Ted Mosby (played by Josh Radnor) while being narrated by Bob Saget. The narrative deals primarily with his best friends, including the long-lasting couple Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel) and Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan), womanizing playboy Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris), and Canadian news reporter Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders).

Additionally, the spin off series is a lot similar as it follows the main character, Sophie (Hilary Duff), and her group of friends in Manhattan. Apart from Duff the new series also star Christopher Lowell, Francia Raisa, Suraj Sharma, Tom Ainsley, Tien Tran, and Kim Cattrall.

'Suit up Barney's back!'

Neil Patrick Harris is reprising his role as ladies’ man Barney Stinson on 'How I Met Your Father,' a queer-inclusive spin-off of the popular sitcom 'How I Met Your Mother'. "Suit up, Barney Stinson’s back in the building," the streaming service posted on social media. The out actor will appear on the two-episode mid-season finale of How I Met Your Father, which follows the character Sophie (Hilary Duff) leading up to her meeting the father of her son. 'Sex and the City's Kim Cattrall plays an older version of Sophie in a framing story.

'PHENOMENAL'

Fans went berserk after the news surfaced online. A fan said, "ok，suit up," while another wrote, "Okay, now I’ll watch the series. It’s going to be legen…dary!" A fan shared, "The OG Daddy. He's the daddiest of all." A fan commented, "Neil Patrick Harris is PHENOMENAL," while another tweeted, "Tuning in for this episode only."

Harris earned four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series over the course of his tenure with the show, in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Harris will appear in next week’s two-episode mid-season finale of “How I Met Your Father,” which debuts on Hulu on March 28. After the duo of installments, the series will take a hiatus for a few weeks before continuing its 20-episode second season on May 23.
