'The Masked Singer' Season 3: Night Angel and Turtle win big against Kangaroo and Astronaut in first face-off
'The Masked Singer' returned with the first faceoff round tonight (April 8). The episode featured The Night Angel and The Kangaroo go head to head against each other and the other faceoff pairing was two strong vocalists — The Turtle and The Astronaut.
Night Angel performed 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman' by Shania Twain. If you have followed her performances throughout this season, one would know that she was masking her voice for this performance but it worked just fine and the judges loved it.
Based on the new clue packages, the judges guessed that it might be Keke Palmer or Vanessa Williams under the mask.
It was now time for Kangaroo to take the stage. She smartly chose the song 'No Air' by Jordin Sparks as the singer's name has come up quite a few times on social media with fans guessing it's her under the mask. After her performance, Ken Jeong reveals that Kangaroo has been his "sentimental favorite". Based on the new clue packages, the judges guessed it might be Lala Anthony, Kiera Knightley, Blac Chyna or Ayesha Curry under the mask.
It was now time for the studio audience to vote and The Night Angel won the faceoff and advanced in the competition where she would perform in the top six next week. The Kangaroo was up for one last performance once again later in the episode.
The next faceoff pairing was The Astronaut and The Turtle. First up was Astronaut with 'If I Can't Have You' by Shawn Mendes and he sang. Based on the new clues the judges guessed it could either be Ben Platt, Seth Green or Austin Mahone under the mask.
The Turtle chose to sing 'Let It Go' by James Bay. Based on the new clues, the judges guessed it could be Adam Lambert, Niall Horan or Joey McIntyre under the mask.
The Turtle was declared the winner of the faceoff and now it was time for the Astronaut and the Kangaroo to head to smackdown and at the end of the episode, one of them was about to go home.
'The Masked Singer' airs Wednesday nights on Fox.
