'38m only so far lol what a joke'
Although the fans are excited, there are some who did not enjoy the movie, with some critics calling it woke and some suggesting the movie was not doing ok abroad, "Yesterday it was $ 130 million Today morning it was $ 120-125 million Now you're saying $ 100- 110 million? Please tell the real amount," wrote a user. One more Twitter user wrote, "38m only so far lol what a joke." Another alleged, "Huh? Did they reduce their estimate from 150mil? Either way, with its poor performance abroad, it's no wonder the Disney spin machine is in full force." One more lashed, "Why? The whole damn movie was utter garbage wasted my money seeing this! CGI was poorly done. Plus the acting was atrocious especially the person playing Prince Eric.

'To be a child again and cry over 'The Little Mermaid'
"One simply wrote, "Woke trash. However, there were fans who slammed those being critical of the movie. "The fact that the new Little Mermaid has 95% audience score on RT really demonstrates the gap between users on social media who gripe about the "woke mind virus warping the minds of white children into hating themselves" & ppl in the real world actually capable of touching grass." Few nonmovie goers also showed a desire to watch the movie as one wrote, "Im not too fond of the movies but I wanna see the little mermaid." More wrote that the movie had them crying, "the little mermaid was so good like it had me leaving the theatres crying it was perfection i couldn’t think of anyone else to play ariel," wrote one. Another wrote, "to be a child again and crying over the Little Mermaid."
