What is 'The Harder They Fall' about?

The official Netflix synopsis reads, 'When outlaw Nat Love discovers that his enemy is being released from prison he rounds up his gang to track Rufus down and seek revenge. Those riding with him in this assured, righteously new school Western include his former love Stagecoach Mary his right and left-hand men — hot-tempered Bill Pickett and fast drawing Jim Beckwourth—and a surprising adversary-turned-ally. Rufus Buck has his own fearsome crew, including “Treacherous” Trudy Smith and Cherokee Bill, and they are not a group that knows how to lose.

Idris Elba

Idrissa Akuna Elba is an English actor, producer, director and musician. He shortened his first name to "Idris" at school in Canning Town, where he first became involved in acting. Elba's first acting role was in 'Crimewatch' murder reconstructions after which in 1994 he appeared in a BBC children's drama called 'The Boot Street Band'.Following that in 1995, he landed his first significant role on a series called 'Bramwell'. Since then he has gone on to work in numerous movies and shows and is one of the most popular actors. Elba is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series 'The Wire', DCI John Luther in the BBC One series 'Luther' and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film 'Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom'. In 2016, he was named in the Time 100 list of the Most Influential People in the World. The talented actor is a man of many skills and also performs as a DJ under the moniker DJ Big Driis or Big Driis the Londoner and as an R&B musician. He will play an antagonist in 'The Harder They Fall'.
