Six episodes of 'The Flash' Season 6 and the series has wasted no time in setting up key plotlines that will have a greater impact over the course of the series. From Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) death in the imminent 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' to the chilling Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy) who has been touted as the Flash's most formidable foe till date, the series is leaving no stone unturned in zooming through the pre-'Crisis' chapters. The previous episode focussed on Cisco Ramon's character arc (Carlos Valdes) and in episode 7: 'The Elongated Man', the spotlight moves to Hartley Sawyer's Ralph Dibny.

Dibny has been a pivotal character of team Flash since season 4 and since his introduction as the Elongated Man, there have been minor plot points that include introducing his mother in season 6. Ahead of the much-awaited Sue Dearborn introduction, Dibny is all set to do a James Bond with Barry in the upcoming episode. Much like Cisco, the character is yet to come to terms with the grim news of 'Crisis' and Barry's death. 'The Elongated Man' could be another episode of Barry trying to prepare Dibny for a world without the Flash.

The official synopsis reads: "Barry (Grant Gustin) turns his attention to prepping Elongated Man (Hartley Sawyer) for life after 'Crisis' and without The Flash, but Ralph ultimately teaches Barry a lesson. Meanwhile, Cecile (Danielle Nicolet) faces her own moment of self-discovery while helping a recuperated Chester P Runk (guest star Brandon McKnight) reclaim his identity."

Danielle Panabaker directed the episode written by Thomas Pound & Jeff Hersh. The 20-second promo sees Barry and Dibny dressed to kill while the signature Bond tune plays in the background. Barry borrows the iconic line saying, 'The name's Allen, Barry Allen' and it appears that the duo is following a villain whose details are yet to be divulged.
