Major spoilers for 'The End of the F***ing World' Season 2 ahead

Netflix premiered Season 2 of its highly anticipated show 'The End of the F***ing World' on Tuesday, November 5, and fans haven't been able to keep calm.

The way that the show had ended in Season 1 led us to believe that there is no way for it to be revived for another season, because James (Alex Lawther) dies, right? Well, it turns out, no, and fortunately, they do not bring him back in a way that seems like a sellout.

The show starts off with the story of Bonnie (Naomi Ackie), a mysterious woman who has lived all her life believing that bad deeds need to be punished, thanks to a cold-hearted mother whose punishments often bordered on cruel.

We see that she had a strange relationship with Dr. Koch (Jonathan Aris), the man that Alyssa (Jessica Barden) and James killed in Season 1.

We know him to be a serial rapist, but Bonnie, who has never experienced love and has confused Dr. Koch's manipulation for love, believes that her boyfriend has been murdered by two teenage delinquents for no reason.

And, she wants to exact revenge. The series heavily focuses on her, even though we see that Alyssa has a lot of new developments in her life from moving houses to getting a job and even getting engaged when we meet her.

Despite all those changes in her life, though, Alyssa finds herself covered in blood overlooking Koch's body every now and then. It is clear that she is suffering from PTSD and depression.

She believes that she deserves the worst in life and does things to simply feel something. When James waltzes back into her life, she is angry and confused.

Season 2 sees yet another road trip for the couple, along with a hitchhiker — Bonnie, who wants to kill them both. Eventually, they calm Bonnie down, explain that they were simply protecting themselves and that Koch was a truly horrible man.

All we know is that she is in prison again and even though James wishes to do something for her, he is not able to. She is one of the most remarkable characters to be created for TV, and it is a shame that we may not get more of her even if the show returns, which is also doubtful.

Even though Alyssa tells James that she will need time, she accepts that she is in love with him, and we see the season ending with both of them on top of a picturesque hill, and it is evident that they have the rest of their lives together.

While we truly believe that more f***ing lies ahead for both of them, this may be a perfect place for the Netflix show to end.

Then again, we assumed this about Season 1, and here we are a season later marveling at the brilliant storytelling of 'The End of the F***ing World'. We sure hope there is a Season 3 in the works if only to find out about Bonnie's life moving forward.
