Barely four episodes into 'The Chase' and the show has proved why it's so immensely popular. You never know which team might make it or who might falter while facing the chasers. Either way, you're sure to be at the edge of your seat!

This season, the show sees the return of chasers Ken Jennings, James Holzhauer, Brad Rutter, and UK chaser Mark Labbett. With Jennings, Labbett and Holzhauer having been the chaser on the past three episodes, it was now Rutter's turn to push this new team to their limits. The team for this episode featured three players: Rahul, KT and Natasha.

'The Chase': Mark Labbett aka The Beast dubbed 'insufferable' by fans, here's why

First up was Rahul, a government consultant, who had a rather impressive run during his cash builder round, managing to rake up a solid $90,000 within a minute before going up against Rutter. Rahul was hoping to make some money for his retirement fund, as he wanted to open a bed and breakfast with his wife. Seeing that this opponent looked like he could handle a challenge, Rutter decided to make things interesting by making him an exciting offer -- Rahul could play for $25,000 and get a head start or play for a higher offer of $325,000.

If Rahul were to take the higher offer, he'd be six steps away from the bank with Rutter only two steps behind him, increasing his chances of getting caught. Rahul decided to go in guns blazing and took the higher offer of $325,000, much to Rutter's delight. Rahul started off to a good start, but having stumbled twice, Rutter caught up with him, resulting in him losing the money and the round. This ended Rahul's run on the chase.

Up next was KT, a graphic designer. KT managed to make $30,000 in the cash builder round. She was hoping to win the money in order to pay for her wedding, seeing that her fiancee, Rose, wants an Iowa wedding, where she grew up.

Rutter decided to make her a lower offer of $10,000, putting her four steps away from the bank. He made her a higher offer of $250,000, putting her six steps away from the bank and him two steps behind her. KT decided to go with her original winnings of $30,000, turning down both of Rutter's offers. KT was just two steps away from the bank when Rutter caught up to her. This ended KT's run on the chase.

With her other two teammates eliminated, it was finally Nastaha's turn to take on the cash builder round. Natasha works The Innocence Project, a non-profit that helps prove the innocence of the convicted in cases where wrong DNA was used. Being a big Red Sox's fan, Natasha wanted to win this money to visit Fenway Park.

Rutter made her two offers -- she could play for a lower offer of $5,000 or play for a higher sum of $300,000. Natasha decided to play it safe and go for her original $70,000, putting her five steps away from the bank. She managed to secure the money without being caught by Rutter and was the only contestant on this episode to make it to the final chase!

Going into the final chase, Natasha nailed the round, managing to get 20 right answers within two minutes, which is rather impressive seeing she did so all on her own. It was now up to Rutter to answer the same amount of questions within two minutes to catch her.

In an interesting turn of events, Natasha got a chance to push back a total of nine times, seeing that Rutter could not answer nine questions thrown at him, allowing her to broaden the gap between them. She was able to answer five of these nine questions and subsequently went on to win $70,000!

Twitter was thrilled to see a solo player nail the competition the way Natasha did! "Natasha seems to have made mince meat out of the buzzsaw aka @bradrutter!!!!!!! Congratulations, Natasha!!!!!!!! " tweeted a fan.

"What will you do with the money? Contestant 1: Retire. Result: Caught! Contestant 2: Pay for my lesbian wedding! Result: Caught! Contestant 3: Go to a baseball game! Result: Won all da moolah! #TheChase" added another. "Wow! @bradrutter got buzz sawed by a single player! #TheChase #thebuzzsaw #NBC" tweeted a fan. "@thechaseabc WOW!! First time in this show a solo player defeats a chaser in the final round. Congratulations to Natasha on her $70K win. #TheChase" added a user.
